My story of how cancer affected my family

In my family I lost my dad in 1992 from lung cancer, it was so devastating to our family, I can’t even begin to explain. I was 19 then. Then when I was 33 I got married 14th Oct. 2006 and 10 days after my wedding my mum passed away from Stomach cancer.

It was so gut-wrenching to watch my mum struggle (she fought like hell) and when doctors told her she had 3 months, she astounded them by living just over a year. Then my grandfather passed away from Bowel cancer and what I saw at the hospital at the very end was excruciating to see a loved one be in that much pain.

More recently a year ago, my father in law passed away from Leukemia, he was the strongest man I ever knew and to see him sick like that was terrible, to say the least. There is also my auntie who is still alive but battling cancer and my cousins’ daughter who is in remission THANK GOD!

I am tearing up right now just thinking about it all.

And so, I decided to raise money for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre. They have state of the art facilities, labs, and doctors. Along with treating your cancer they also think about the quality of life of the person. I feel this is extremely important. So I hope my personal story touches you and you can support my raffle, there are 5 fabulous prizes to be WON, help me help others suffering from cancer.
