About

My name is Katly Malgeri and I am the creator of All Things Sewing and Craft. It all started with my handmade plus size clothing range and accessories business Katly Plus. I soon created All Things Sewing and Craft as a facebook group and page where people could gather to discuss their own crafts, ask questions of others, and showcase their creations. But most creative groups were like this so I decided to not only have my group about that, but I went further and introduced members ability to post about their fabric/haberdashery store sales, new product launches and the also allowed handmade businesses to show their sales, new product launches in the group. The sky was the limit.

I felt that the more crafters had access to the information they need like techniques, supplies or just have handmade businesses available in one place would make the whole facebook group experience a great one.

Being in contact with fabric and haberdashery stores I was able to securre discounts exclusive to the group for all members, conduct competitions, Chris Kringle, raffles, which made the group even more enticing for members.

Before I knew it my sewing had taken a turn for the better and I was ready to teach. I created short 3-5 hour classes that are project specific, which means that if you do a class on how to make a handbag you would learn the techniques associated with that project from sewing machine settings, feet and needle selection and fabric selections. You always took away with you a YOU made product at the end of the class so the class was sharp and precise to what you were making and never borning.

Now I have handmade products for sale, offer sewing classes and interact with my Facebook audience bringing news and events and information, videos, tutorials and more to you!

With love

Katly
